Opening the same documents or running the same programs every day.
With Task Attender, you can easily create a task that, once launched, will open the document or run the program you need for your work whenever suits you. For example, you edit the same documents every day, not so? Why open them manually? Let Task Attender run the necessary programs and open these documents in them for you at a time specified by you.
Suppose you make changes in the document 'daily.xls' each and every day. The data you need to enter into the document 'daily.xls' is stored in the document 'data.doc.' Thus, you need to open these two documents. Below is the process of creating a task that will open both documents when you press the "Alt + 1" key combination.
Step 1. Creating a new task.

Use the 'New Task' button on the toolbar to create a new task.
Step 2. Configuring the task.

After you create a new task, you will see the 'Task setup' dialog box where you can configure the parameters of the task.
Type the name of the task in the 'Task name' field.
By default, you can specify a brief description of the task in the 'Task description' field.
Specify the hotkeys for the task. The task will be run once you
press this key combination.
Clear the 'Enable task' checkbox. In this case the task will be run
only when you press the hotkey combination. The scheduler will not run this
task automatically.
To save the task, click the 'Save' button: The new task will be added to task list in the main window of the program after that.
Step 3. Adding the 'Open' command to the task.

Select the created task in the list of available tasks. You can do this using the mouse or the arrow buttons on the keyboard.
After you click the 'Save' button in the 'Task setup' dialog box, the new task is automatically selected.

Expand the 'Documents' group in the tree of available commands.
Select the 'Open' command and click the 'Next' button.
After that you will see the configuration dialog box of the 'Open' command.
Step 4. Configuring the 'Open document' command.

Use the 'Browse' button to select the necessary document.
If necessary, specify command line parameters in the 'Command line'
field.
Select the mode in which the document must be opened.
To save the task, click the 'Save' button.
Repeat steps 3 - 4 to add the command for opening the document 'data.doc'. The task that opens the two documents has been created and configured. Now you just press the "Alt+1" key combination at any moment and the task will be run.
